The Baseline Research on Oceanography, Krill and Environment (BROKE) was a study conducted off of east Antarctica in the Austral summer of 1995–96. The primary focus of this research was to describe the distribution and abundance of Antarctic krill and to determine possible sources of Antarctic Bottom Water in the region.
