The E-print Network is...

a vast, integrated network of electronic scientific and technical information created by scientists and research engineers active in their respective fields, intended for use by other scientists, engineers, and students at advanced levels.

a gateway to over 27,850 Web sites and databases worldwide, containing over 5 million e-prints in basic and applied sciences, primarily in physics but also including subject areas such as chemistry, biology and life sciences, materials science, nuclear sciences and engineering, energy research, computer and information technologies, and other disciplines of interest to DOE.

a set of specialized tools and features designed to facilitate the exchange and use of scientific information, including:

      • a unique Deep Web search capability that combines full-text searching through PDF documents residing on e-print Web sites with a federated search across e-print databases,
      • access to e-prints and related scientific Web sites organized by science disciplines,
      • an Alert Service that provides automatic updates on new e-prints of interest to you,
      • a compilation of relevant Scientific Societies,
      • a source of valuable professional and contact information about e-print contributors and their research activities, as well as related events at their sponsoring institutions or laboratories
      • the DOE Science Accelerator which allows you to search via a single query across important collections of the DOE's scientific and technical information.
