Julia Brainerd Hall (1859-1925) was of great assistance to her brother, Charles M. Hall in his quest to find a commercially viable way to prepare aluminum. A chemistry major from Oberlin College, Hall helped her brother with experiments, taking laboratory notes, and giving business advice.
