Robert Emile Mabro (1934-), an Egyptian-born English economist noted for his economic analysis of the politics of the Middle East, particularly world oil markets. He combined insightful analysis of Middle East politics with the economic dynamics of oil supply and demand. Mabro is considered a leading expert on the role of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in world oil markets and on the geopolitics of the Middle East.
