I am currently a junior at Mount Holyoke College and an Environmental Studies major. I have experience researching with NOAA Fisheries (Seattle, WA) and Bodega Marine Lab (Northern California). Last semester I studies Marine Ecology in Ecuador, traveling from Quito to the coast, and spending three months on Galápagos. Experiences at fish markets and talking with fishermen abroad have contributed to my understanding and opinion surrounding marine resource issues such as overfishing, shark finning, and shrimp farming.

I hope to use a combination of a science background and public teaching resources (media, internet) to better communicate the essentials of what scientists know to everyone.
