Jason Corburn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of City and Regional Planning (DCRP) at the University of California, Berkeley. He has also held academic appointments at Columbia University and Hunter College. His research and practice explore: how environmental science can reduce poverty and social inequalities; new ways to link city planning and public health; and strategies to promote health equity and urban sustainability. Jason is the author of STREET SCIENCE: Community Knowledge and Environmental Health Justice, published by the MIT Press. He holds a PhD and Masters degree from MIT and a BA from Brandeis University.
