Niclas Green is pursuing a dual major in Architecture and Civil Engineering at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He is also a member of the Texas Tech Honors College, furthering his academic goals. As an accomplished Eagle Scout and all around “country boy,” he has great interest in the interactions between the built and natural environments. If Niclas is not hard at work studying, he can probably be found outdoors. His many hobbies include camping, skiing, wakeboarding, and riding his four-wheelers at the sand dunes. Niclas participated in the Encyclopedia of Earth Student Science Communication Project while taking a course entitled “Advanced Fieldcraft” that focused on the Rio Grande River. He spent a week on a canoe trip through Boquillas Canyon in Big Bend National Park as part of this class.
