Robert Goodland was the Senior Environmental Advisor to the World Bank Group in Washington, DC between 1978 and 2001. The Library of Congress lists 35 of his publications. He served on the independent Extractive Industry Review of the World Bank Group's oil, gas and mining portfolio (2001-2004), and worked for the Inspection Panel in 2005 & 2006. He was elected chair of the Ecological Society of America (Metropolitan) and President of the International Association for Impact Assessment.
