Biography:

Simone Pulver’s research focuses on global environmental governance, firm-environmental decision-making, and environmental social movements. In particular, she has studied the roles played by transnational oil corporations and transnational environmental advocacy networks in the United Nations climate change negotiations. Pulver joined the faculty of the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University in 2003. She holds a joint appointment as an assistant professor (research) of international studies and of environmental studies. She received her doctorate in sociology from the University of California at Berkeley and also holds an M.A. in energy and resources from the same institution, and a B.A. in physics from Princeton University.
