Yiping Fang is currently a professor at the Centre of Mountain Development, Institute of Mountain Hazards & Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also acts as director at the Institute of Eco-economy and Sustainable Development, the School of Management, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He has been granted a Doctoral Degree of Science by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. From May, 2004 to September, 2004 Fang was senior visiting scholar at Dalhousie University, Canada; from October, 2002 to January, 2003 he held a fellowship at Kyoto University, Japan. His focus interests include industrial ecology, environmental management, and sustainable development.
