Bethany Nagid is a senior at Mount Holyoke College, where she is an Environmental Studies major and Chemistry minor.
She is particularly interested in studying the ways that the fields of ecology, geology, and chemistry all interact, and enjoys using field research as a method of connecting them,
Her research experience with measuring Net Ecosystem Exchange at Mer Bleue bog in Ottawa, Canada, over the summer of 2011 has allowed her to re-focus her academic interests. She hopes to use the experience to guide her for the remainder of her academic career.
