Brian Scheick has been a biologist with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission since 2001. He received his MSc. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida in 1999 comparing the population dynamics of black bears in South Georgia and North Florida.  He has experience with black bear diet and distribution, estimating bear abundance, and managing human-bear conflict issues.
