Dr. Earley received his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is currently an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at Kent State University's Stark Campus. Dr. Earley's research projects focus on the application of computational investigations on molecular main-group and transition-metal oxide compounds, with the aim of extending the results obtained to deduce fundamental properties of solid-state materials. Calculations are performed using standard semi-empirical and ab initio program packages. In addition, efforts are underway exploring ways of using computer technology to enhance classroom education.
