Elena Paoletti

Elena Paoletti is senior scientist at the Institute of Plant Protection of the National Council of Research of Italy. She is a forest ecophysiologist and works in particular with the impacts of air pollution on forest ecosystems. She coordinates the Research Group 7.01.00 “Impacts of Air Pollution and Climate Change on Forest Ecosystems” of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) and the Working Group “Pollution and Forests” of the SISEF (Italian Society of Silviculture and Forest Ecology ). Reviewer of project proposals and journal manuscripts (on average, 13 reviews a year), she is member of the Editorial Board of the journals Environmental Pollution and Forest@, and of the Steering Group of the Network “Ozone risk assessment”. Invited speaker or chairperson at several scientific meetings, she was member of the organizing/scientific committee of 12 meetings. Principal investigator in 12 scientific projects, she is author of more than 150 papers.
