Emily Eshleman is a junior at Mount Holyoke College, pursuing a major in Environmental Studies and a certificate in Culture, Health, and Science. Her academic interests include environmental health, medical anthropology, and physical ecosystems, and how these elements interact and shape public health and western medical decisions. She has volunteered extensively with local hospitals and has experience in clinical medicine as an EMT. Emily has traveled throughout the United States in various socio-economic areas and observed the different ways in which people relate to their environments. She hopes to develop a career in both medicine and education to promote environmentally healthy and sustainable practices.
