Dr. Gregory Borne is aLecturer at the University of Plymouth, UK. His research and teachingfocuses on the many ways that sustainable development is being integrated into governance frameworks at the international, national, local and individual levels. He has a particular int erest in sustainable development, reflexive modernity and the relationship between global and local environmental risk.
Dr Borne's book 'A Framework for Sustainable Global Development and theEffective Governance of Risk' developes these issues into an an effective framework
Dr. Borne holds a BSc (Hons)in Sustainable Development (Open University), an MSc in Social Research (2000, University of Plymouth)and a PhD in Sustainable Development (2006, University of Plymouth) . He is a member of the Institution of Environmental Sciences a registered Chartered Environmentalist with the Society for the Environment and a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
