Biography:

Jeff has been the head of the Invasive Species Science Branch at the USGS Fort Collins Science Center since August of 2008. Starting in late 2009, he also serves as the assistant center director for the center. His current research is on the application of multi-resolution and time series satellite imagery to ecological and climate studies. Some of his current projects include invasive species habitat mapping in the National Parks and working with the US National Phenology Network on land surface phenology research. Before transferring to the USGS, he was at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center for ten years; where he was a member of the MODIS science team and participated in multiple field campaigns. In FY’07 he served a year-long detail at NASA Headquarters working in the Applied Science Program.
