Biography:
Kelly Adkins played soccer at the University of North Texas before transferring to Texas Tech University where she studied philosophy. She currently works as a Pet Training Instructor. Kelly participated in the Encyclopedia of Earth Student Science Communication Project while taking a course entitled “Advanced Fieldcraft” that focused on the Rio Grande River. She spent a week on a canoe trip through Boquillas Canyon in Big Bend National Park as part of this class.
