Mr. K.R.T Achar is a post-graduate civil engineer from IIT, Kanpur, India, with specialization in Hydraulics and Water Resources. He has over 24 years of experience in engineering consultancy services, mainly with Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE), Mumbai and Bangalore in India. The projects ranged from Hydro Power, Thermal Power, Water Supply, Sanitation and Urban Infrastructure.
Mr. Achar has experience of working in projects funded by international funding organizations involving the World Bank, OECF (currently JBIC) and ADB.
Mr. Achar’s interests include water resources management and planning. His special skillsinclude water hammer studies. Mr. Acharhas undertaken analysis and design of water hammer protective schemes forwater conductors in water supply, raw water pipelines and CW systems of thermal power plants. He has overseas experience of working in Indonesia for an ADB fundedFlood Control Project.
Mr. Achar has over 20 publications in National and International Journals / Seminars and Conferences. He is currently General Manager (Civil Engineering) with LANCO Infratech Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
