Lisa Headington has worked as an archaeologist, land use and environmental planner, adjunct professor, research assistant, and independent writer and researcher. She has a B.A. and M.A. in anthropology (Colorado College, University of Michigan), a M.U.R.P. in land use and environmental planning (University of Colorado, Denver), and Ph.D. in geography (University of Colorado, Boulder). Her research interests are focused in the area of environment-society relations, and include water and planning in the western U.S., urban resource commons and the homeless, urban rivers, and solar and geothermal energy for schools.
