Marc Law is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Vermont. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Washington University, St. Louis. His research interests are in the fields of regulation, political economy, applied microeconomics, and economic history. Much of his research concerns the causes and consequences of product quality regulation. To date he has written papers on the origins, enforcement, and effects of food and drug regulation, occupational licensing laws, and advertising regulation. He has also written about the political economy of earmarked research at the USDA.
