Meena Kapahi holds a ‘Masters of Technology’ in Environmental Science and Engineering and presently works as an Associate Professor in Manav Rachna College of Engineering, Faridabad, India; one of the North India’s premier technological institutions. During M.Sc. & M.Tech., she has undertaken projects like ‘Monitoring of Variations in Water Quality of River Yamuna’ and ‘Ambient Air Quality Monitoring during the Monsoon Season’ which form a part of Environment Status Report of Haryana in collaboration with Directorate of Environment, Govt. of Haryana, Chandigarh. She has authored articles on environmental issues like ‘IUCN: what is it?’, ‘Ozone’, ‘Integrated Pest Management for Sustainable Development’, etc. She has also published in journals like Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, J. Environmental Monitoring and IETE Technical Review. Her present interests encompass indoor air quality, Atmospheric emissions and climate change and environmental impact assessment. She has been the co-coordinator for the AICTE sponsored Staff Development Programme on “Environment Impact Assessment” (January 7th, 2008 – Jan 19th, 2008) at the college. She has been also coordinating the students’ teams for participation in the national as well as international events organized by the Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) such as the International Annual Summit on Global Climate Change.
