Biography:

Moses Muhumuza is a Lecturer at Mountains of the Moon University, Uganda, East Africa and a PhD student at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg South Africa. He holds a MSc. degree in Biology specialising in natural resource management and conservation and a BSc. degree in Biology and Chemistry; both degrees were acquired from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Uganda, East Africa. His academic interests include but not limited to; Science education, Community based conservation, ethnobotany, global warming and climate change, Indigenous knowledge systems and epistemology.He is currently involved in a number of research projects which include: Critical analysis of Western and African perspectives and approaches on sustainable utilization of natural resources, Application of Systems thinking model in understanding sustainable utilization of natural resources and Implications of “Fines and fences strategy” to the Conservation of National Parks in Uganda.
