Parakh Hoon works on southern African politics and environment, including the politics of wildlife conservation and agricultural development, and their effects on rural communities. He is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and has also taught at American University in Washington, DC. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Florida, Gainesville.
