Biography:
Steven W. Wilhelm is a professor in the Department of Microbiology at The University of Tennessee. His primary research interest microbial interactions within aquatic ecosystems. He focuses on a variety of problems in microbiology in both marine and large lake environments. Work in the lab and field studies focuses on the role of microorganisms in biogeochemical cycles, and conversely how the biogeochemistry of aquatic systems affects the production and activities of microorganisms.
