Biography:

An international lawyer and wildlife researcher, Tatjana ("Tanya") Rosen works with the Wildlife Conservation Society in Bozeman, Montana and as consultant for the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD).

Her research interests focus on human-wildlife conflicts, transboundary conservation and international trade in endangered species. She is vice-chair of the IUCN WCPA Transboundary Conservation Specialist Group, Managing Editor of the IBN, the Newsletter of the International Bear Association/IUCN Bear Specialist Group and Coordinator of the Yale Large Carnivore Group.

Tanya worked with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), taught International Law at the Universita' Statale of Milano and practiced international law at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York and Studio Legale Chiomenti in Milano.

Tanya holds a JD (summa cum laude) from the Universita' Statale of Milano, an LL.M from Harvard Law School and graduate degrees in science from Bard College and the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies.
