Dr. Teresa Balser is currently and Assistant Professor in the Dpeartment of Soil Science at the University of Wisconsin. Research interests include microbial mediation of ecosystem response to global changes in land use/cover, atmospheric chemistry, carbon and nutrient cycling, or spread of exotic species; linkages between above and belowground diversity; use of microbial data in ecosystem models; soil carbon sequestration; and interdisciplinary graduate education and training.
