Tyler Christensen is a coral reef scientist, a contractor with NOAA’s Coral Reef Watch program. She holds an M.S. in marine science from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and a B.A. in Biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland. Her current work is on using satellite data to predict coral bleaching, especially in new product development. She also brings a focus on training international coral reef managers on the use of remote sensing data, and on the effects of climate change on coral reef ecosystems.
