Biography:

Ying Zhang holds a MBBS, M Med Sci (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) and PhD from University of Adelaide. She has conducted diverse projects in the field of epidemiology. Her PhD thesis uses Australian and Chinese data to elucidate the relationship between climate variation and selected infectious diseases. She has conducted community interventions on Type 2 Diabetes and injury prevention for Chinese young people. Currently, she is a postdoc research fellow for the Australian Ageing Well, Ageing Productively (AWAP) project, focusing on co-morbidity of Australian elderly people. She is a member of the International Epidemiological Association (IEA), the Australasian Epidemiological Association (AEA) and the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA). More than twenty papers have been published from her work.
