DATA SET: Podobnik energy datasets

Twenty-seven data series representing physical quantities consumed, energy units consumed (tons of oil equivalent), per-capita energy consumption, and energy/GDP ratios.  Data is present to varying degrees for each country over the period 1800-1997.  From Bruce Podobnik's book Global Energy Shifts: Fostering Sustainability in a Turbulent Age (Temple University Press, 2005, ISBN-13: 978-1592132942), based on data from Etemad & Luciani, United Nations, IEA, and other sources.

Cutler J. Cleveland Cutler J. Cleveland  is Professor of Earth and Environment at Boston University, where he also is on the faculty of the Center for Energy and Environmental Studies.
