The University of Georgia/Georgia Sea Grant Gulf Oil Spill Symposium convened scientists, government officials, industry, the news media and representatives of sectors affected by the spill to discuss collaboration in research and response efforts, coordination of information, and further opportunities to maximize cooperation following the nation's worst maritime disaster.
