The ReSource Institute for Low Entropy Systems (RILES) is an independent, nonprofit organization that works in partnership with communities in English and Spanish speaking countries to promote public health and the environment. RILES supports non-depleting, non-wasting, non-polluting methods and technologies for sustainable development.

ReSource programs are targeted at three specific project areas:

  • Ecological waste management (toxics reduction in the waste stream, water quality and conservation, recycling and pollution prevention
  • Low entropy technology transfer (enterprise development, philanthropy linkage, public policy, research and development, and technical assistance)
  • Education & training (writing about ReSource Programs and ideas; magazine publications, journal publications, public speaking, teaching)
  • Institutional Development (building institutional capacity at ReSource and at its project sites)
